Once in a rare while a book comes along that affects you so deeply, and on so many 
levels, that it becomes fixed in your memory forever. WALDEK, THE BOY WHO DEFIED THE NAZIS, by Blanca Miosi, is such a book for me.
This novel, based on the life of Waldek Grodek, held me completely captive from beginning to end, and then the “grand finale” was a surprising revelation in the author’s note at its conclusion.
WALDEK, THE BOY WHO DEFIED THE NAZIS is definitely a book not to be missed. I regret that Amazon does not allow me to give this book more than 5 stars as it deserves more. I highly recommend this novel.
